An environment that grows with your child

Confey Montessori offers programmes designed around the developmental needs of children in the early years. Each environment is carefully prepared, with age-appropriate materials and a Montessori guide trained to support children at that stage.

Ages 2½ – 6

Montessori Preschool

Our core Montessori environment for children in the years before primary school. Children explore practical life, sensorial work, language, mathematics, and cultural studies in a calm, beautifully prepared classroom.

Pre-school

Morning sessions

A focused morning work-cycle following the Montessori model. Children settle into routine, choose their own work, and develop the habits of concentration and independence that will serve them for life.

ECCE scheme

Confey Montessori participates in the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) free pre-school scheme — please contact us for current eligibility and place availability.

A typical day at Confey

Each day at Confey Montessori follows a calm, predictable rhythm. Children know what to expect, and within that structure they have great freedom to choose their own work and move at their own pace.

Welcome & settling in

Children are greeted individually as they arrive. Coats are hung, indoor shoes are put on — small acts of independence that begin the day.

The Montessori work cycle

A long, uninterrupted period — the heart of the Montessori day — where children freely choose work, repeat activities, and develop deep concentration.

Snack & community

Children prepare and share a small snack together, learning grace, courtesy, and the simple pleasure of looking after one another.

Outdoor time

Time outside in the fresh air on the grounds at San Carlo — running, exploring, observing the seasons, and simply being children.

Group time & goodbyes

The day closes with songs, stories, or a short group lesson — and a warm farewell to each child by name.
