Confey Montessori is a small, independent Montessori preschool based on the grounds of San Carlo School in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

Developed by Dr Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator, the Montessori method is built on more than a century of careful observation of how children learn.

The role of the adult — the Montessori guide — is not to instruct but to prepare an environment where this drive can flourish, and to gently support each child's path through it.
